Sales & Business Development Manager
MPI Automotive, the home of Manta Performance Exhausts, is seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager to lead our sales and account management function while actively developing new business opportunities within the automotive aftermarket.
This role suits someone who enjoys ownership, works well with people, and prefers to stay close to customers rather than managing from a distance.
About the role
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for both managing the sales and account management team and contributing directly to business development activity.
Customer relationships and follow-through matter here. Sales success is built on service, trust, and consistency, particularly when issues arise.
You will work closely with marketing and our operations teams to ensure customers are supported and opportunities are pursued, while maintaining clear ownership of sales outcomes.
What you will be doing
* Lead and coach the sales and account management team
* Maintain and grow key customer relationships
* Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities
* Stay actively involved in customer engagement and with major accounts
* Support a high standard of customer service and issue resolution
* Work with marketing to align activity and priorities
* Use CRM systems to manage customer activity and reporting
* Provide clear sales insight and visibility to the General Manager
This role is not purely desk-based and will involve regular interaction with customers and the sales team.

Experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector is beneficial but not essential.

* Sales performance is consistent and aligned with business targets
* Customer relationships are strong, with minimal churn, backed by a world class NPS score (80+)
* New customers are being consistently acquired through effective prospecting and new business development
* The sales team are motivated and engaged
* There's clear visibility of sales activity and customer engagement
* Marketing, business development, and account management are in sync
