As a member of the 500‐plus team, you will help support exploration drilling activities and complete laboratory analyses of samples at the Narngulu Dry Plant and Port Gregory Mine Site.
Key Responsibilities
Exploration Field Work
* Assist the Exploration Geologist with all exploration activities as required.
* Organise, collect, and dispatch sample bags.
* Complete end‐to‐end drill program tasks including drill hole pegging, sample collection, consumables management and rehabilitation.
* Perform data entry.
* Respond to miscellaneous requests from the Laboratory Supervisor, Exploration Geologist, Shift Supervisor, Superintendent, Mine Manager and General Manager.
Laboratory
* Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
* Collect samples using the appropriate sampling methods.
* Conduct regular quality analyses using laboratory equipment, techniques and methods.
* Sample, sort and assay mine in‐fill drilling samples.
* Maintain a database of all sample details and results, preparing summaries as required.
* Attend to miscellaneous requests from the Laboratory Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, DP Superintendent, Production Manager and General Manager.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Completed Year 12 Mathematics, Science and English or equivalent experience.
* MSL30122 – Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or an equivalent qualification (desirable).
* Basic understanding of laboratory processes including sampling, analyses and reporting (desirable).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and online software packages.
* Capable of lifting a minimum of 10 kg and performing physical outdoor work.
* Current C class licence (minimum).
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical and DAS.
* Willingness to work in remote areas and within small field teams.
