Overview
Sedgman is recruiting for a skilled Senior Mechanical Designer with hands-on experience on projects ranging from conceptual design to detailed engineering. This position reports to the Designer Team Lead and involves working on a diverse array of projects across the Mineral Processing industry. You will be involved in the entire design process, from concept to detailed design, with a focus on Mechanical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
Ability to take an engineering concept and convert it into a 3D design.
Check drafting deliverables for accuracy, completeness and adherence to design specifications & intent.
Apply attention and diligence to uphold quality standards, and client requirements, to complete tasks efficiently.
Create 3D designs from complex, multidiscipline engineering concepts.
About You
7+ years of industry experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industries.
A strong understanding of relevant Australian standards.
Experience with projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D or occasional MicroStation 2D
Proficiency in AutoDesk 3D modelling programs, such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Advanced Steel, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Vault and Plant3D
Ability to work autonomously.
Previous skills or Interest to expand into SMP design
Willingness to adapt to a changing role
Pointcloud Scanning skill are a perk but not required
Proven skills in Advanced Steel
AutoCAD Plant 3D Spec Development is desirable but not essential.
AutoCAD Plant 3D Smart PID integration is desirable but not essential.
