Our client is a Leading Manufacturer of Moulded Poly Tanks, and now have an opening for a full time Assembly Technician.
Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Assembly Technician is to work across all shop floor sectors, including, warehouse, moulding, and assembly, according to business requirements. Quality work and positive team collaboration skills remain a high priority.
Assembly Duties:
To assist with the assembly of products as directed
To assemble quality products in preparation for dispatch
Coordinate product assembly and align with the Dispatch Coordinator to ensure delivery priorities are met
Store Duties:
Regular cycle counting of inventory locations
Ensure control over inventory accuracy, including maintaining a secure perimeter gate into the warehouse
Steelyard stock control and picking
Wrapping/packing of outbound goods
Ensure good control of stock build items (planning and completing)
Control all consumable items within production
Moulding Duties:
To understand the schedule of required tanks for production
To assist the team in moulding products
To follow correct quality procedures to ensure all tanks are moulded to engineering standards
Coordinate product sub-assembly and fit in with the production scheduler to ensure priorities are met for planned builds
Support the maintenance of the equipment by carrying out standard inspections
Data input for logging job progress
Reviewing jobs and collecting material for moulding (Tanks / Frames)
General:
To operate machinery, forklifts, overhead cranes, and hand tools according to industry best practice and safe working procedures
Assist in keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe always
Qualifications/experience:
Experience in the use of relevant machines and their safety requirements (preferred)
Experience with general hand tools and basic manufacturing process
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Understanding of OHandS requirements
Ability to work autonomously
Forklift license (preferred)
