We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Baker. As a key member of our bakery, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality products are produced while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by inspecting equipment cleanliness and operating sites.
* Accurately weigh ingredients and apply appropriate baking techniques to produce consistent results.
* Prepare pastry fillings and glazes for various baked goods, and monitor oven temperature and product appearance to ensure optimal quality.
* Coordinate the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of breads, rolls, and pastry products.
* Operate machines that roll and mould dough and cut biscuits, and maintain equipment cleanliness.
* Perform tasks such as kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing, and shaping dough and pastry goods.
* Train junior staff members to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* Related qualifications or at least 2 years of work experience.
* A strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
* 8-hour shifts with regular breaks.
* Able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Customer service experience (1 year preferred).
* Australia Work Authorisation (preferred).
