Position:Principal Civil EngineerCompany:Tier 1 EPCM in Mining/ ResourcesLocation:Bunbury (ideally)/ PerthEmployment Type:Casual ContractorContract length:Initial 12 months with possibility of extensionRole OverviewOur client, a leading global EPCM, is looking for aPrincipal Civil Engineerto join their team inBunburyin delivering design coordination, technical insights, and leadership attributes for selected projects or components of projects.However, candidates that reside inPerthare welcome to apply as well.As a key member of the team, you will:Coordinating design activities for selected projects or project components, ensuring alignment and integration across all design disciplines.Offering expert technical guidance on all facets of civil design, including bulk earthworks, roadworks, drainage, constructability, and multidisciplinary interfaces.Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.Providing leadership and fostering awareness of technical and commercial risks, including their assessment and mitigation, across project teams.Mentoring junior engineers, designers, and drafters, supporting both project delivery and their professional growth.Offering strategic direction to the civil design team as required, ensuring alignment with project goals and standards.Performing design calculations and reviewing drawings and models to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.Developing study reports, detailed design documentation, technical specifications, and other project deliverables.What you’ll have:Bachelor’s degreein Civil Engineering.Extensive experience incivil engineering, with a strong background in deliveringresource and infrastructureprojects.Prior experience in the design and delivery ofroads,drainage systems, andpadsformining infrastructureand associated facilities.Proven technical expertise and a demonstrated ability to manage and deliver innovative and effective design solutions.Strong track record ofmultidisciplinary project delivery, working collaboratively with all key engineering disciplines.Ability tolead and mentor junior engineers, supporting both technical development and project execution.Proficient in preparingengineering calculationsandreviewing/ checking design drawings and 3D modelsfor accuracy and compliance.About AirswiftAirswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
