The Role
We are seeking an Associate Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineer – Water Infrastructure to join our water team. You will deliver major capital projects and facility upgrades predominantly on Queensland projects, with support to the wider ANZ business. Our water team covers the full water cycle, including pipelines, pumping stations, and water, wastewater, and recycling treatment plants.
With a minimum of 10+ years' experience, your core responsibilities include:
* Provide leadership and proactively collaborate with Water Infrastructure team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of project deliverables
* Detailed design of electrical, instrumentation and control systems with a focus on LV electrical systems including schematics, equipment layout, motor control centres and communications systems, SCADA, instrumentation and PLCs
* Provide technical reports and specifications for projects (design reports, functional descriptions, technical specifications)
* Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard in a timely manner
Suitable Applicants Will Have
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and RPEQ (or ability to obtain)
* Relevant 10+ years' experience in Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Engineering, ideally in the water sector or industrial plant
* CHAZOP experience highly desirable
* Familiarity with standards, conceptual and detailed design, and design management of electrical infrastructure
* Design experience with knowledge of industry standards
* Strong skills in instrumentation, controls, SCADA and LV design
* Applied knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3008.1.1
* Experience with design software such as PowerCAD is preferred
* Well-developed communication skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
