Program Overview
This is a transitional program designed for nurses to transition into intensive care units in the NSW Health system.
Key Program Details
* Location: Intensive Care Unit at Calvary Mater Newscastle, a 6-bed level 5 tertiary unit
* Rotation: An 8-week rotation to John Hunter Hospital's Intensive Care Unit
* Employment Type: Temporary Part-time (32 hours per week)
* Possible Permanent Position upon completion of 12 months
Responsibilities
* Complete five learning pathways, including online health resources
* Submit eight learning portfolios and participate in four study days
* Undertake work-integrated learning activities and complete capability assessments
Requirements
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in acute care settings
* Registered nurse authorized to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
