Your role
As a CRB Quant Trader, you will manage the execution of trades and orders on a principal basis to generate revenue and support the needs of our clients. You will leverage your analytical and programming skills to develop and implement trading strategies, while ensuring strict adherence to UBS's principles, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

As a CRB Quant Trader, you will manage the execution of trades and orders on a principal basis to generate revenue and support the needs of our clients. You will leverage your analytical and programming skills to develop and implement trading strategies, while ensuring strict adherence to UBS's principles, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generate revenue through timely and accurate execution and booking of trades/orders on a principal basis (generating P&L)
* Apply strong analytical skills to understand, modify, and adapt mathematical models in response to market dynamics.
* Translate trading ideas into models and strategies using programming languages such as kdb/q, Python, and Rust.
* Utilize experience in risk/factor models, optimization techniques, and statistical arbitrage strategies.
* Stay informed about market developments and trading opportunities, maintaining a strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and strategies.
* Facilitate client order flow by providing liquidity via proprietary inventory or accessing third-party offerings.
* Adhere to all applicable regulations and internal policies including but not limited to quality of execution
(example: best execution), trading activities (example: Volcker), pricing, hedging, trading limits and
compliance policies
* Manage a broad range of risks, including trading, execution, operational, compliance, and conduct risks, making informed decisions and escalating issues as required.
* Promote and uphold UBS principles and behaviours, acting with integrity, skill, care, and diligence at all times.
* Ensure escalation and disclosure of any information of which applicable regulators would reasonably expect notice
* Observe proper standards of market conduct while paying due regard to interests of customers and treating them fairly
* Where supervising other members of staff, ensure adherence to applicable regulations and internal policiesvia effective supervision and oversight with reference to the Principles of Good Supervision
Key Deliverables:
* Revenue generation (trading P&L, commissions, sales credits) and growth of client business.
* Strong contributions to the development of regional and global models driving the CRB business.
* Full compliance with regulations, desk policies, and guidelines.
* Effective risk management.
* High client satisfaction.
* Conduct aligned with UBS principles, regulatory expectations, and timely escalation/disclosure of relevant issues.
