This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join a welcoming and highly regarded private specialist practice where your skills are valued, your work has meaningful impact, and patient care is the highest priority. We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and reliable individual to join a newly established Endocrinology practice based at the Wesley Medical Centre in Auchenflower.
This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with a variety of shifts and some flexibility in hours (Monday and Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 8:30am to 4:30pm). There is also the potential for this position to be offered as a job share between two part-time Secretaries.
You will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in delivering a seamless, supportive, and high-quality experience. This is a long-term opportunity to grow alongside a dedicated specialist with the potential to expand your responsibilities as the practice develops.
Key duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Provide warm, professional front desk reception and secretarial support
* Greet patients on arrival and respond to all general enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner
* Manage all aspects of patient appointments, billing and receipting, incoming emails, and patient correspondence
* Liaise effectively with referring doctors and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care
* Maintain strict patient confidentiality and consistently uphold high standards of service
* Work independently with initiative, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
We Are Seeking Candidates With The Following Skills/experience
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a private specialist medical practice
* Proficiency in medical software platforms such as Xestro, Genie, and/or Gentu
* Strong knowledge of private billing procedures (Health Funds, DVA, ADF, WorkCover and Medicare), ability to triage new patient referrals, and day to day Medicare processes
* Exceptional communication skills, with a high level of discretion and professionalism
* Proven ability to manage a busy clinic environment with efficiency and composure
* A proactive and reliable team player who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and patient care
Remuneration
The hourly rate for this role ranges from $37 to $43 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience. This exciting opportunity also includes onsite car parking, flexible working arrangements, and a position that offers both autonomy and the potential for career progression.
