The Opportunity
We have two (2) opportunities for proactive individuals to provide construction and labouring skills as well as utilise a variety of civil engineering plant equipment for the purpose of constructing and maintaining BVSC assets.
As a Civil Construction Apprentice, you will help review work plans and determine what work needs to be completed and adherence to all current and applicable policies and procedures. You will undertake academic studies at vocational level and apply theoretical learnings to workplace activities in order to reinforce learnings.

About You
We are seeking two (2) individuals who have obtained a School Certificate (Year 10) or equivalent and hold a NSW Class C drivers' licence (or ability to obtain).
You will have the following skills and experience;
* Experience in tasks associated with general labouring including (but not limited to); cleaning, minor construction works which may include concreting, carpentry, excavation, paving, fencing and landscape maintenance activities.
* Basic ability to read plans and schedules.
* Developed skills in the operation and maintenance of various hand tools and specialised equipment e.g. chainsaws, jackhammers, whipper snippers and mowers.
* Ability to operate a personal computer and basic skills in the use of Microsoft software packages including Word and Excel.
Benefits
These are grant-funded, fixed term, full time positions working 38 hours per week for a period of three (3) years.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $28,071.68 to $48,187.78 gross per annum, comprising of:
* $482.00 to $827.40 per week base salary
* $57.84 to $99.29 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
Remuneration for this position is dependent upon the age and level of schooling achieved by the successful candidate.
