Job summary Are you interested in learning how "the cloud" works, but don't know where to start? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for Data Center Operations (DCO) Trainee to support their cloud infrastructure! This is an entry level position with a 6 months training program to help learn the skills to succeed. In 2006, AWS began offering IT infrastructure services to businesses as web services—now commonly known as cloud computing. Today, AWS provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses all around the world. In its mission to be Earth's most customer centric company, AWS provides infrastructure that meets regional and global requirements, supporting customers as they grow their businesses. The Data Center Operations (DCO) Team, part of the Infrastructure Operations Team, maintains the infrastructure - including servers, network devices and other components and parts - that connect our customers to their customers. As a DCO Trainee, your "Day One" will start with a 6-month contract, in one of our data centers. During this period, you have the opportunity to gain an understanding of data centers through hands-on maintenance on the infrastructure equipment, working with the teams that support this infrastructure and the customers that rely on it. As AWS seeks to grow its own talent, the contract can be extended or become a full-time Data Center Operations position. If you enjoy working in a close-knit and diverse, international team and a global community, the Infrastructure Operations Team is the place to be! If you want to know more about our team, feel free to reach out to us!
