As our team expands, we are seeking a Desktop Support Officer to join our team in Orange, NSW to deliver high quality, onsite technical support to our customers. The role is full-time and onsite at the customer site.
Your role will be to provide friendly and knowledgeable support to customers with a positive, can-do attitude. You will interact with a wide array of technology including both Macs and PCs, tablet devices, server systems, network infrastructure and voice platforms, although the bulk of server and network elements will be managed by our specialist teams.
Responsibilities
Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the customer's operations
Being personable with end-users and developing a friendly bond with customers
Collaborating with colleagues to identify processes that require improvement or can be handled more efficiently
Seeking customer feedback on performance and taking an active approach to continuous improvement
Identifying problems or requests without an existing process and collaborating with peers to develop and implement one
Ensuring documentation and procedures are always up to date
Taking ownership of day-to-day technology issues and coordinating with external third-party organisations
Collaborating with peers in other teams to ensure a successful outcome for the customer
Qualifications
A passion for providing exceptional customer service, demonstrated by helping people fix technical issues with computers and other devices
A keen interest in technology and a strong desire to ensure that all technology functions optimally; willingness to learn new technology solutions and concepts
Effective communication skills for troubleshooting and explaining issues and preventative measures
Proven leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
A positive attitude and can-do mindset with a track record of helping others resolve technical issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with a wide range of stakeholders
Flexibility in handling unusual situations, such as staying later or adjusting schedules when needed
