You'll work alongside the Client Partner to drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability across the business while leading our finance function.
You'll sit on the leadership team and help shape the strategic direction of an organisation doing work that matters, from superannuation and housing to transport, the care sector, and supporting not-for-profits working to end homelessness. It's meaningful work with national reach.

Role Description
As Finance Director, you'll lead the financial function of Shannon Behaviour Change. This is a hands‐on leadership role where you'll:
* Drive financial strategy and business performance alongside the Client Partner, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability
* Lead all aspects of financial management; from strategic planning and budgeting to forecasting, reporting, and analysis
* Oversee end‐to‐end financial operations including accounts payable and receivable, cash flow management, and financial compliance
* Partner with Client Service Teams to maximise job profitability and drive commercial outcomes across campaigns
* Lead financial reporting and analysis, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision‐making
* Manage specialist financial processes including talent and film contractor payments with 7‐day turnaround requirements
* Ensure full compliance with ATO, SRO, and payroll requirements including GST, PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally, championing financial excellence across the organisation.
Qualifications
You're a strategic finance professional with commercial acumen and leadership presence. You bring:
* A financial qualification (degree or above) with demonstrated leadership experience in finance
* Strong commercial savviness with the ability to translate financial data into strategic business insights
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with job management software
* A track record of driving efficiency and profitability initiatives in a dynamic environment
* The ability to lead and influence across all levels of an organisation
* Exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence; you're confident presenting to leadership and building relationships across teams
* An open, curious mind with flexible and agile thinking
* Most importantly, you're motivated by purpose and want to use your financial expertise to support work that creates positive change in society
What you can expect:
They work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in our South Melbourne office, with the other days from home (although you are welcome to use the office if you prefer).
