This is a Senior Payroll Officer role with City of Melbourne based in Melbourne, VIC, AU City of Melbourne Role Seniority - senior More about the Senior Payroll Officer role at City of Melbourne Synopsis Accuracy, care and accountability at scale Great team environment – continuous improvement focus $99,022 - $111,457 (plus 12% Super. optional ADO) About The Role The Senior Payroll Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services for all City of Melbourne employees. You’ll own complex payroll processing and reconciliations, resolve escalations, mentor colleagues, and drive continuous improvements across processes and systems to ensure employee experience is at the centre. As a subject matter expert in payroll legislation, enterprise agreement interpretation, taxation, and system functionality, you’ll provide technical expertise and oversight across end-to-end payroll operations. You’ll support the delivery of accurate reporting, audit and compliance and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture within the People, Culture & Safety Branch. You Will Bring Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing and compliance. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and enterprise agreements. Advanced skills in payroll systems and data analysis. Proven ability to manage complex calculations and reconciliations. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
