Job Title
This is a progression position as per the role description.
The successful applicant will be appointed to an O2 classification with eligibility for progression to an O3 level once specific criteria have been met.
This temporary vacancy is open to expressions of interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.
About the School:
Park Ridge State School is a school continuing to grow due to expansion in development around our immediate area and community.
We also have a school pool on site as well as some older buildings.
The grounds are quite large and we take pride in making our school look inviting and welcoming.
The Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and mow all ovals and grass areas.
* Maintain all gardens and ensure weeds are removed and potential new gardens and plants are added.
* Maintaining all areas in and around buildings to ensure tidy and safe.
* Park Ridge has a lot of trees that need to be maintained with debris and branches.
About You:
Experience in a school setting would be preferred.
You must have a Blue Card and a White Card.
Any other training associated with grounds maintenance would be welcomed.
A Mandatory Requirement:
You must hold a Certificate III qualification or higher relevant to the tasks outlined, from a recognised institution under the Australian Qualification Framework or agreed equivalent which, in the opinion of the Director-General, Department of Education or delegate is acceptable.
You must also hold a current Working with Children Check clearance (Blue Card) issued by Blue Card Services.
