ABOUT THE ROLE
As a DFV Support, you will work in the Client Support team providing best practice social responses to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.
* Welcome clients to their first appointment at Liberty, hold space as they share their story, assess risk, and follow their lead on the next steps/supports
* Provide holistic safety and case planning to women and their children experiencing domestic and family violence and/or homelessness
* Support clients to transition between Liberty's programs, properties and/or staff by completing warm handovers and attending appointments as required
* Effectively manage your case load and maintain accurate and current records and statistical data
* Collaborate with other services to strengthen referral pathways and develop innovative, integrated community responses to women and their children experiencing domestic and family violence and/or homelessness
* Represent Liberty in community such as attending interagency meetings with stakeholders, including co-location partners, and participating in events as required
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will have:
* Tertiary qualification in Community Services or Social Work preferred
* Experience in risk assessment and safety planning, or wilingness to learn
* Experience in case management
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* Awareness of Response-Based Practice is desirable
* Awareness of DVNSW's Good Practice Guidelines is desirable
* Current driver licence
* Current Working with Children Check
