You will provide warm, efficient and effective patient care and customer service by anticipating, recognising, and meeting customer needs.
This is a permanent, full-time role working in our clinics in Bethesda Hospital, Hollywood Consulting Centre, Hollywood Medical Centre, South Perth Hospital and our Subiaco clinic.
You will be rostered across these locations to step in and cover extended periods of leave, support particularly busy times and provide an extra set of hands when required. Rosters are released fortnightly in advance, so you'll always know where you'll be working, in good time.
This is a fabulous way to get to know PRC, our people and the expectations of this role as you'll get to see how things run at various clinics, including experiencing the differences between community and hospital clinics. It is an excellent way to learn and develop quickly with us!
Responsibilities
* Arrive patients at the front desk
* Handle accounts, banking, Medicare batching, and other billing activities
* Manage appointments and appointment scheduling, ensuring the correct examinations are performed based on request forms
* Provide a high standard of patient care and customer service by anticipating, recognising, and meeting customer needs
* Always act to protect patient privacy and dignity, and aim to ensure patient comfort
* Contribute to quality patient care through effective delivery of administrative services to the clinic
* Cooperate and assist other members of the team with training or excessive workload
* Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members
Who we're looking for
* Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellence in patient care and / or experience delivering excellence in customer service and administration
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a track record of positive working relationships with peers and stakeholders
* Success in previous roles working effectively under pressure to problem solve on the fly and meet targets and deadlines
* Ability to work independently, whilst functioning as part of a clinical team
* Tendency to take initiative and be proactive in your work
* Ability to interact empathetically and effectively with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds
