Join Ventia in a role which keeps the Australian Defence Force's wheels turning A great opportunity for a Vehicle Mechanic to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Puckapunyal, north of Melbourne .
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and armoured tanks.
Responsibilities
* Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
* Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials
* Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts
* Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
* Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection
* Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates

About The Role

About You
* Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
* Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehicles
* Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
* You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
