Join to apply for the Data & Systems Developer - Python role at Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia.
Provide direct application development capabilities to corporate and operational teams by discovering, optimising and enabling digital solutions.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate closely with architects, technical leads, testers, product owners, and analysts in an Agile environment to contribute to the solution development process
* Using a variety of integration techniques, develop real-time and polling interfaces between systems and the RFDS Data Lake
* Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD processes and tools, to ensure smooth software delivery
* Assess and diagnose incidents according to agreed procedures
* Investigate causes of incidents and seek resolution
* Escalate unresolved incidents
* Facilitate recovery, following resolution of incidents
* Document and close resolved incidents according to agreed procedures
* Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services, determining problem fixes/remedies and assisting with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
Qualifications
* Formal qualification in Information Technology or similar field, or equivalent experience
* High-level communications skills, with demonstrated capability to effectively interact with leaders across the organisation and external stakeholders
* Experience developing data manipulation solutions in Python, and associate libraries such as Pandas and GeoPandas
* Familiarity with RESTful APIs, integration, and mocking
* Ability and desire to learn new technologies and skills as required
* Knowledge/experience within Health or Aviation industry advantageous, but not essential
