Job Summary
Anduril Australia seeks team members with relevant Maritime (or complex autonomous systems) experience to diagnose, inspect, repair, refurbish, and test Autonomous Underwater Vessels (AUVs, Robot Submarines), continuously improving System reliability performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine inspection, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, and upgrade of AUV electrical systems and equipment
* Diagnose electrical issues, conducting component and subsystem-level tests, collaborating with engineers and other trades to resolve complex issues
* Operate the Maintenance Management System (MMS), ensuring accurate records of maintenance activities, parts, and consumables consumption
* Execute system-level Maintenance Acceptance Test (MAT)
* Perform internal Sea Acceptance Test (SAT) of AUVs having completed Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) or MAT
* Support development, review, and trial of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for AUV maintenance activities operations
* Assist with the preparation of risk assessments for maintenance and test operations, identifying and implementing mitigations
* Provide constructive feedback to design and manufacturing teams for ongoing evolution
* Be able to be deployed to the field to perform emergency repairs when necessary, potentially in challenging conditions or adverse weather
* Support customer representatives in gaining skills and experience to support fielded AUVs
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* 4+ years' experience in maintenance of electrical systems or components
* Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-tool skills
* Vocational training in electrical trades or associate degree ideal
* Maritime trade background desirable as well as subsea experience or autonomous vehicle operation (any domain)
* Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (wiring diagrams, work instructions, equipment schematics, etc.)
* Experience performing component, subsystem, and system-level tests and diagnosing/escalating issues discovered during these processes
* Exposure to operation of Maintenance Management Systems
* Maritime qualifications desirable, not essential
* Extremely organized and detail-oriented
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
* Ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance
