We're looking for an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Production Coordinator to manage our Eagle Farm Afternoon shift production at our site in Brisbane, QLD. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in supervising and coordinating the activities of production employees on each line, promoting high quality products; assessing the needs of staff and ensuring training and performance are consistent. You will be an integral player in this fast-paced manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve KPIs and manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching and counseling employees to meet high-quality standards.
* Ensure systems, policies and procedures are followed.
* Manage the facility with the appropriate staffing levels, within budget, to achieve operating goals.
* Collaborate with departments and foster teamwork.
* Communicate with Production Manager and other Shift Coordinators regarding pertinent issues related to each line.
* Identify training needs and collaborate with the training officer.
* Collaborate with HR on employee issues.
* Ensure compliance with GMP and food safety requirements.
* Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monthly performance review of staff.
* Leave management.
* Monitor staff times – clock on/clock off, return from breaks on time.
* Ensure up-to-date work instructions and related documentation.
* Stay updated on new technologies, trends, and legislative changes.
* Demonstrate commitment to OH&S and environmental management.
* Regular toolbox talks with the team.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology, Management, or related field preferred.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Proactive, self-managed, and organized mindset.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills.
* At least 5 years supervisory experience ideally within the FMCG industry.
* Ability to develop and implement improvement programs.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Self-motivated and flexible.
