We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Legal Counsel to provide expert guidance and support to our advisory legal function and daily operations across Australia and New Zealand.
This pivotal role will partner closely with business leaders to manage risk, foster business growth, and ensure legal integrity and compliance throughout our operations.
About The Role
Provide expert advice on a broad range of commercial matters and complex projects.
Draft and negotiate diverse commercial agreements for real estate services.
Advise management on legal matters and risk mitigation, aligned with strategic objectives.
Support business growth, including navigating new and evolving regulations.
Collaborate to improve legal processes for enhanced risk management.
Monitor legal developments and proactively manage associated risks.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Litigation and Compliance) to ensure effective legal management.
About You
A Bachelor of Laws degree with demonstrable experience.
A current Practising Certificate.
At least 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in a full-service law firm or in-house role.
Proven experience in a commercial setting, with strong negotiation skills.
Excellent advisory, communication, and leadership capabilities.
Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, commercially minded approach.
The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and make sound decisions.
