The Position
Yilabara's dedication to quality has allowed us to become a leader in our industry. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for supporting Yilabara to achieve accreditations necessary to comply with government funding contracts including National Standards for Disability Services Standards (NSDS) Certification, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, Quality Assurance Framework and Right Fit For Risk. The Quality Assurance Officer will assist in the administration of our QA program which not only enhances our service outputs but also fosters a culture in which all employees are actively engaged.
Responsibilities include:
* Undertake activities and develop suite of policies of procedures to enable Yilabara to achieve NSDS Certification as a requirement of our Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) Contract
* Assist in administering the Yilabara QA program to maintain other accreditations including ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and Right Fit For Risk including the development of policies and procedures
* Maintain compliant and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions
* Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits
* Develop improved standards for service delivery and design, and create testing protocols for implementation across all business arms
* Development and ongoing review of comprehensive practice guides for IEA and other Yilabara programs
* Identify training needs and take action to ensure companywide compliance
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant workplace regulations e.g. Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, Anti-discrimination Act, WHS/OH&S Act/s.
Essential Criteria
* Relevant qualification in business related discipline such as Management, Quality Management or similar
* Experience and knowledge of Commonwealth funded employment services including compliance and contractual obligations
* Experience achievement and maintaining NSDS Certification and other quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001 & Right Fit For Risk
* Thorough working knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
* Strong numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
* Proven ability to build, develop and maintain strong effective working relationships with senior management, employees and other key stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality
* High level computer literacy with experience in quality assurance and risk management technology and Microsoft Office applications
* Valid National Police and Working With Children Checks.
