Building Approvals Specialist
The Building Approvals Specialist plays a pivotal role in safeguarding community safety by meticulously reviewing and approving building plans and applications.
* Coordinate the building approvals process, ensuring that technical and engineering submissions are thoroughly analysed to guarantee relevance and accuracy.
* Evaluate plans and specifications for compliance with referral jurisdictions, regulations, Australian standards, and QFD policy requirements, including assessment of proposed performance-based solutions in relation to Community Safety compliance.
* Inspect building special fire services for compliance with building development approvals, regulations, Australian standards, QFD policy requirements, and engineering design solutions.
* Maintain an extensive and expert working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, standards, and policies, and stay abreast of Community Safety Operations initiatives nationally and internationally.
