Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas in criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.
**About the role**
We currently have an ongoing full-time role at the Family Law Executive Team, Central Sydney Office (Haymarket) as the **Executive Assistant and Project Officer, Clerk Grade 7/8**.
The role provides a range of executive support and administrative services to the Executive Director, Family Law to facilitate the delivery of business operations and to support the Senior Executive/s achievement of organisational objectives. The role is responsible for the sensitive handling of confidential matters for the Family Law Division.
**About you**
You will have solid time management skills to manage competing priorities and meet pressing deadlines with limited resources. You will have excellent organisational skills to support the Executive Director Family Law in organising their calendars, work schedules and travels, in order to facilitate the optimal use of the Executive Director's time. You will have profound verbal and written communication skills to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to fulfil expectations of multiple parties. You will provide administrative and confidential support on a range of project work and lead a team of five officers to deliver timely services for the Family Law executive team.
We may use this recruitment to create a talent pool for similar ongoing or temporary vacancies we have over the next 18 months.

**The essential requirements for this role**
You must:
- be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before you start work with us
- be willing to do a Criminal Record Check and
- hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
The Family Law Division have a number of roles where it is a statutory obligation for staff to hold a valid Working With Children Check. You will be required to provide your Working With Children Check details prior to commencement in any role requiring the check.
