The Position:
We are seeking a motivated recent school leaver or other suitable candidates with an interest in structural engineering, construction, or architecture to work in our home-based office in Terrigal, on the Central Coast.
Candidates must have completed Year 10 as the minimum education requirement.
Applicants must have Australian work rights.
Once trained, you can earn a good income without needing formal qualifications or having to pay off a HECS debt. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their technical expertise in the construction sector.
Skills & experience:
* No prior experience is required, full training is provided in-house.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication skills, both written & verbal. You just need to be able to put together an email & communicate clearly so you're easily understood.
* A technical mindset with strong attention to detail. We work in millimetres, near enough is not good enough.
* Ability to solve problems and work independently. Help is close by, but you'll also be expected to think for yourself.
* A good understanding of maths & geometry at High School level. You don't need to be a mathematician, though.
Duties:
* 3D modelling of structural steelwork. Building virtual structures on a computer.
* Preparation of workshop detail drawings & general arrangements, generated from 3D BIM software.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate and detailed models.
* Assisting with occasional site measurement.
