What's the role?
Within Westpac Institutional Bank, you'll help shape the future of sustainable finance by working closely with institutional and corporate customers to design and deliver finance solutions that support their sustainability ambitions.
In this customer focused role, you'll blend origination and strategic advisory with hands-on execution, guiding customers as they navigate green, social, sustainability-linked and transition finance options.
You'll build strong relationships internally and externally, partnering with Westpac Institutional Bank's Relationship Managers and product specialists and industry bodies to position Westpac as a leader in the sustainable finance space.
You'll also play a big part in lifting capability across the bank by sharing insights, educating teams, contributing to product innovation, and helping refine our processes so we can continue to deliver trusted, market-leading solutions.
This is a full-time, Melbourne-based role, with three days per week in the office offering you the opportunity to influence real change while supporting customers on their sustainability journeys.
What do I need?
To thrive in this role, you'll bring a mix of commercial insight, banking knowledge, curiosity about sustainability, and the confidence to guide customers through complex financing decisions.
You're someone who is comfortable working autonomously and building relationships across different teams.
Here's what will help you succeed:
Background working with corporate or institutional clients or strong understanding of the sustainable finance landscape, within banking or financial services.
Awareness of sustainability issues and market developments.
Strong commercial thinking and the ability to understand customer needs.
Confident communication and influencing skills, with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
Leadership capability, including supporting, developing and motivating team members.
