The Statewide Manager - Medical Equipment is a senior management role responsible for the provision effective leadership and management to achieve the objectives of the Medical Equipment Management Framework.

Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

The Statewide Manager - Medical Equipment is a senior management role responsible for the provision effective leadership and management to achieve the objectives of the Medical Equipment Management Framework.

You will need:

* High-level knowledge and experience in strategic asset lifecycle management together with broad knowledge and understanding of requirements relevant Australians Standards, codes, and guidelines. Relevant experience within an acute health service environment will be highly regarded.
* Demonstrated high level strategic planning skills, conceptual, analytical, and creative skills, including demonstrated ability to understand the political, social and organisational environment, to identify relevant issues and to make sound judgements about strategies, directions and priorities.
* High level ability to manage human, physical and financial resources with management skills and experience in budget development and management, development and implementation of programs, protocols and systems to support key department objectives.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: General Stream, Band 8

$139,470 to $148,863 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
