Business Improvement Superintendent

We are seeking a results-driven Business Improvement Superintendent to lead the planning, governance, and execution of site-based improvement initiatives. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering measurable operational and financial outcomes while embedding a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership & Governance: Lead and prioritise improvement initiatives aligned to site strategy; ensure governance, tracking, reporting, and benefit realisation; monitor progress, manage risks, and escalates issues.
* Capability Building & Culture Development: Coach teams in Lean, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies; foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and problem solving.
* Data Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Analyse performance data to identify opportunities and root causes; benchmark against best practice.
* Project Management & Execution: Develop business cases and lead end-to-end project delivery; ensure outcomes are on time, within scope, and deliver measurable benefits; partner with Finance to validate savings and ROI.
* Reporting & Communication: Deliver clear reports, dashboards, and stakeholder updates; standardise processes and integrate improvements into systems.
* Technology & Innovation: Promote digital tools and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
About you
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
* Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher preferred) or similar methodologies.
* Minimum 7 years' experience in mining or heavy industry, with proven improvement results.
* Strong track record leading cross‐functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders.
* Advanced analytical, problem‐solving, and facilitation skills.
* Experience with performance dashboards and data analytics tools (desirable).
