Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate Childcare Cook to join our team. In this role, you'll design and prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals that meet dietary requirements, while fostering healthy eating habits. A Food Safety Supervisor certificate is mandatory for this role.
This is a unique opportunity to have a meaningful impact in a brand-new centre, supporting children's wellbeing through food, while being part of a collaborative and passionate team.
Responsibilities
* Plan and prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 96 children daily.
* Cater to dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences.
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation.
* Collaborate with educators to promote healthy eating and nutrition education.
* Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
* Order, manage, and rotate stock efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience as a Cook, ideally in childcare, school, or similar environment.
* Food Safety Supervisor certificate (mandatory).
* Strong knowledge of nutrition for children.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Positive, team-focused attitude with commitment to children's wellbeing.
