We are looking for an enthusiastic Dietitian Assistant to provide support to the Nutrition and Dietetics team in delivering and maintaining a high standard of nutritional care for inpatients and supporting the delivery of clinical care to inpatients, while working under the supervision of an allied health professional. As a Dietitian Assistant you will be assisting the Dietitians at Bowral and District Hospital with various tasks. These may include but are not limited to:
* Completing menu orders with patients
* Providing basic nutritional guidance
* Assist in malnutrition screening
* Supplement checks
* Administration tasks to support clinician Outpatient services
* Monitoring supplement stock levels
* The role involves acting as a liaison between patients, families, hospital staff, Dietitians and Food Services.

Selection Criteria
* Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition & Dietetics) or Certificate III AHA (Nutrition & Dietetics) or equivalent qualification or minimum 12 months full‐time equivalent relevant experience working as a Dietitian Assistant in a hospital with a commitment to commence Certificate IV within 12 months.
* Good current knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other health care professionals to relay information, clarify instructions and support patient care.
* Commitment to customer service and quality improvement.
* Good computer skills with experience using CBORD windows system (preferred).
