Project Support Officer – Transition
Locations: Dandenong, Bendigo and/or Ballarat
Contract: Fixed-term, 5 months (until 30 June)
Rate: $70 per hour + super
An opportunity is available for an experienced Project Support Officer to provide high-level administrative and business support during a criticalTransition period.
This is a delivery-focused role suited to someone who can step into a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and focus on outcomes during a sensitive organisational transition.
Reporting to the Project Coordinator – Transition, you will work closely with the wider leadership group, Business Support teams, and key stakeholders to ensure transition activities are coordinated, tracked, and completed effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-level administrative and coordination support across all transition activities
* Coordinate and monitor responses to Requests for Information (RFIs)
* Prepare reports and track performance against detailed transition plans
* Draft, post and coordinate internal communications and monitor the communications plan
* Support recruitment and resourcing activities to ensure appropriate staffing through transition
* Deliver critical transition tasks, including:
* Finance clean-up activities (review and closure of redundant purchase orders)
* Procurement clean-up activities (review and closure of expired contracts)
* IT asset and software audits and reporting
* Depot asset audits and reporting
* Documentation and records management
* Contribute to other activities as outlined in the Transition Plan
About You
You are a confident, resilient professional who performs well in complex and sensitive environments. You are outcomes-driven, comfortable working through ambiguity, and able to prioritise delivery when required.
You will bring:
* Strong project and administrative support experience, ideally within government or large organisations
* Experience supporting procurement, finance, or contract administration activities
* High-level stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* The ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
* A practical, proactive approach with strong attention to detail
