Shifts: Afternoon/Evening, Sleepover & Weekends

STEPS Pathways College is the only college of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, delivering a unique boarding program that helps young adults build life skills and confidence. We're on the lookout for Casual Support Trainers to join our dynamic team and support students in their journey to independence.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Mentoring students through fun, practical learning activities
* Supporting behaviour plans and promoting positive outcomes
* Teaching food prep skills (yes, there will be cooking!)
* Joining students on community outings and social adventures
* Helping with extra-curricular activities and one-on-one support
* Encouraging independence in everyday tasks
* Being a role model and part of a supportive team
What You'll Bring:
* Cert in Disability, Mental Health or similar (or lived experience!)
* Experience in teaching/coaching/mentoring
* Special Ed background? Big plus!
* Experience with complex behaviours (essential)
* First Aid Cert, Medication Assist (desirable)
* Calm, patient, flexible and mature approach
* Experience working with people with disability is highly regarded and will be an advantage
Must-Haves:
* Driver's Licence
* Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain)
* Two professional references
