**Description**:
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Ongoing preventative maintenance and servicing of machinery within the facility to ensure all plant and equipment are maintained in prime and safe operating condition.
- Reactive maintenance as required. Diagnosing faults and liasing with relevant stakeholders to manage downtime, while meeting production commitments.
- Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting, and proactively managing breakdowns of equipment and process failures whilst minimising the impact to production schedules
- Servicing mechanical equipment including concrete batching, conveyor systems, pipe manufacturing machines and welding equipment.
- Responding to breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conducting repairs and maintenance to welding equipment and pipe moulds
- Carrying out breakdown work, planned and preventative maintenance as per maintenance program
- Use CMMS (Mex) to assist in tracking our preventative/reactive work to help build predictive maintenance program
- Ensuring all work is carried out is in accordance with approved codes, standards, operation and maintenance manuals, specifications, drawings, etc. including occupational health and safety requirements.
**Skills and Experiences**:
**Ideally you will have**:
- A Mechanical trade/Boilermaker qualification with a minimum of Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical or Fabrication. You must have had fitting experience. The work is not 'rocket science' but there is an excellent opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and value and to build a long term career.
- Ability to build in-depth knowledge about our plant and equipment - conveyors and batching systems, welding, and fabrication, whilst bringing hydraulics and pneumatics experience
- Excellent fault finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in breakdown and preventative maintenance.
- Must be highly motivated, a proven self-starter who is keen to work within a team.
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the busines.
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Enthusiasm, well organised with a determination to work to negotiated targets
- A forklift licence would be beneficial.
- Most importantly is your enthusiasm for the role and the people you work with.
