**About the role**
The Portfolio Performance Reporting lead role, within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), is a pivotal function in the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC). The role will support the uplift in portfolio reporting, and assurance, by driving the reporting cadence for the portfolio of initiatives, analysing portfolio data to identify trends, risks and opportunities across the project landscape; and will also manage continuous improvements to the ACICs Portfolio, Program and Project Management (P3M) digital solution - ServiceNow's Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) platform.
As the Portfolio Performance Reporting lead, you will be responsible for delivering on internal and external reporting requirements, driving the ACICs reporting cadence for the portfolio of initiatives.
The role also includes implementing continuous improvements of the digital P3M solution to support the strategic management of the investment portfolio, and support the uplift in portfolio maturity, enterprise capability and long-term delivery outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage portfolio performance across programs, projects and change initiatives, overseeing and analysing reporting outputs against initiative aims and objectives to ensure effective planning and benefit realisation.
- Lead analysis of project reporting to inform a portfolio view, and identifying relevant issues that need attention.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing insights and analysis based on portfolio data.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation on portfolio performance, highlighting key achievements, risks, and challenges.
- Support the EPMO to manage and configure project status reporting accelerators to ensure they meet the ACIC's reporting needs and are user-friendly for stakeholders.
- Lead continuous improvements across the ACIC internal and external reporting processes by evaluating reporting processes, tools and templates to enhance portfolio reporting quality and efficiency.
- Drive the digitisation of portfolio, program and project management, provide support on the effective use of the SPM platform, and support the implementation of new or enhanced capabilities.
- Facilitate and manage agency responses to external reporting requests, such as the DTA's Integrated Digital Investment Plan and Approved Programs Collection responses.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices in project management and portfolio governance.
- Build and maintain productive relationships across business areas to support collaboration, capability uplift, and strategic alignment.
- Consider and effectively manage competing priorities and strategic directions when achieving team planning and project outcomes in line with agency goals and objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Experience in providing project management services in government, with relevant certifications or equivalent. This includes expert knowledge and proven results in portfolio, program, and project management disciplines.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to examine information and identify and address issues as they arise whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in implementing and supporting portfolio, program and/or project digital solutions.
- Excellent business writing and communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering high quality verbal and written advice to diverse audiences on complex and sensitive issues.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, negotiate and influence outcomes and build strong professional relationships and accurately represent the information from divisions.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a busy and evolving professional environment with a capacity to prioritise, multi-task and work collaboratively across the branch.
- Work with a level of independence, under broad direction, with a concurrent need to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively in and across teams in a high tempo environment.
