About The Role

The HR Operations Advisor plays a key role in delivering a seamless employee experience across the organisation. Working within HR Operations, you manage the employee lifecycle and maintain organisational structure in VicGov People, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity. You provide responsive, customer-focused support while offering informed advice to stakeholders on HR processes and policies. With a strong eye for detail and analytical mindset, you help identify opportunities to improve systems and ways of working. This is a hands‐on role where your expertise directly supports efficient, reliable and high‐quality people services across the Department.

What We're Looking For

This role requires strong systems thinking, with the ability to analyse complex situations, understand interdependencies and identify effective solutions. You apply critical thinking to resolve issues using sound judgement, even where guidance is limited. A strong customer focus enables you to understand stakeholder needs, tailor services and manage risks to deliver quality outcomes. You actively seek opportunities to innovate and improve processes, encouraging continuous improvement within the team. With well‐developed stakeholder management skills, you build productive partnerships, understand organisational context and collaborate effectively to achieve shared outcomes and deliver meaningful results.

* Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures.
* Experience working within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
Desirable
* Degree in Human Resources, or a related field.
* Experience operating within HRIS platforms.
