Overview
To work with the Head Chef to ensure the success of the business through excellent food service and preparation, working as part of the kitchen team, maintaining a clean and organised work environment and adhering to procedures.
Responsibilities
Arrive on time and prepared for the beginning of each shift, well presented and hygienic
Carry out preparation and serving of dishes as required
Carry out preparation and cooking of items in cake cabinet
Work with other kitchen staff in daily operations, ensuring consistency, adherence to quality standards and health and safety guidelines
Assist with washing dishes, general and deep cleaning and end of day pack up
Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and adherence to food hygiene standards
Ensure kitchen operates in an efficient and skilled manner in order to maintain high quality standards
Receive orders and advise head chef of any orders required
Manage rotation of fresh produce and dry goods to ensure freshness and minimise wastage
Qualifications & Experience
Cert III or equivalent or at least 3yrs related work experience.
