Unaccredited Trainee – Urology
A 12‑month Unaccredited Urology Trainee position in a high‑volume Urology department, providing operative and non‑operative urology experience before surgical training.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Consultant Urologist in theatre and on the wards.
* Serve as the first point of contact for Urology consults during the work day.
* Participate in after‑hour on‑call duties as part of the general surgical roster (1:7 pattern).
* Engage in research and teaching opportunities with the School of Rural Health and Medical Students.
Essential Requirements
* MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Completion of at least three (3) postgraduate years of medical practice.
* Valid NSW Working with Children check.
* Cleared National Police check.
* Age Care Check for Australian Government funded positions.
* Provide evidence of vaccination per NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination policy.
* Compliance with work health, safety and wellbeing policies and procedures.
Selection Criteria
* Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements.
* Australian experience or eligibility for the Competent Authority pathway.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently under supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Effective oral, written, computer, organisational time‑management skills.
* Evidence of continued professional development and commitment to self‑education.
* Willing and able to participate in shift and on‑call roster.
