THE POSITION: The Community Business Programs Officer contributes to the development and delivery of business enterprise services for the Fairfield City Business Hub (Fairfield City HQ).

In this role, the Community Business Programs Officer also:

* Supports the development of local start-ups and businesses.
* Builds relationships with businesses, institutions, individuals and organisations interested in contributing to the development and delivery of business enterprise services delivered at Fairfield City HQ.
* Assists with the Coordination of the delivery of programs, forums, workshops and events at Fairfield City HQ.

Selection Criteria:

* Knowledge of current business practices, principles, associated issues, and trends, including disruptive technologies.
* Sound understanding of the Local Government environment and knowledge of relevant opportunities and their application to business service development and delivery
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive, engaging work environment and manage competing priorities within deadlines and changes in work priorities.
* A customer-first attitude and demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service provision.
* Proven ability to negotiate and facilitate cooperation and partnership.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain working relationships with the general, business and business-related communities to create collaborative business services, programs and events.
* Ability to develop and prepare reports and policy documents.
* Tech-savvy and digitally creative.
* Ability to increase and diversify Fairfield City HQ membership base by providing targeted, relevant membership services and programs.
* Demonstrated experience developing, delivering and promoting business services and programs to diverse audiences.
* Demonstrated experience in supporting cultural change within a team to create an environment of continuous improvement by researching the market, developing and modifying systems, policies and procedures and collecting and analysing data.

Qualifications

Minimum

* Tertiary qualification in a Business Management discipline or Business Administration field
* Current New South Wales Class C Driver's License

Desirable

* Business development qualification, experience and training

SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

* Permanent position, 70 hours per fortnight
* This position is a Grade 5, salary range is $86,482 p.a. with progression to $93,133 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $101,305 p.a. plus 12% Super
* Flexible working hours are available.
