Conference, Events and Accommodation Sales Manager
The Conference, Events and Accommodation Sales Manager is responsible for leading the Conference, Events and Group Accommodation Sales, driving revenue growth across meetings, events, group accommodation and residential conferences, while delivering exceptional client experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, develop and motivate the Conference, Events and Accommodation Sales team to achieve and exceed agreed sales targets.
* Manage and maintain the conference, events and accommodation sales database, including key corporate, leisure and group clients.
* Champion and exceed Conference, Events and Accommodation sales vision and revenue objectives.
* Develop and implement revenue-driven sales strategies across conferences, events, group accommodation and residential bookings.
* Drive efficiencies and best practices within the sales team to maximise conversion and performance
* Set, monitor and report on sales and conversion targets, ensuring performance is reviewed monthly.
* Identify need periods and high-demand periods for both event space and accommodation, implementing targeted strategies to optimise total revenue.
* Chair and lead weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings to ensure seamless communication and operational execution.
* Prepare and present comprehensive proposals and quotations covering venues, event space, menus, audio visual requirements and accommodation packages, ensuring maximum yield.
* Work collaboratively with hotel operations to ensure the successful delivery of conferences, events and accommodation stays, guaranteeing high levels of client satisfaction.
* Coordinate and host site inspections and familiarisation visits, including timely follow-up and conversion activity
* Attend external sales calls, trade shows, networking events and industry meetings to generate new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships.
* Maintain a visible and active presence within the hotel to support clients, the sales team and operational departments as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Knowledge of licensing laws and best practices for alcohol service and sales.
* Strong communication, negotiation and guest service skills.
* Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and revenue management.
* Proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Experience using iVvy event and venue management software preferred.
* Experience with Opera Cloud and Shiji preferred but not essential.
