About the Role:
The Solution Engineer role sits within the GTM organisation within the APAC region; you will be a trusted technical advisor to the local sales team, partners, and customers. You will work on projects with forward-thinking organizations, guiding them on their Generative AI journeys.
At Glean, our Solution Engineers help customers connect Glean to their decision-making platforms, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Slack, GitHub, Zendesk, and more. As an SE, you will work closely with local Account Executives (AEs) and are responsible for the technical success and delivery of sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrating the Glean platform to prospective customers.
* Educating technical teams on the architecture of the Glean platform, explaining how the solution works in the customer context.
* Scoping and executing sponsored pilot and Proof of Value (PoV) exercises to validate technical requirements and business objectives.
* Educating and training customers and partners on the product to ensure success.
* Presenting at company-sponsored events such as Google Cloud Next and AWS re:Invent.
* Liaising with product managers and engineers to investigate issues, raise feature requests, and understand future roadmap.
About You
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
* 5+ years of experience in enterprise software pre-sales with value-based discovery.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
* Ability to explain complex technical concepts in layman’s terms to educate and train customers, prospects, and partners.
* Comfort presenting virtually and in-person.
* Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
* Familiarity with identity services and SSO providers (Azure/Entra ID, Okta) and protocols (SAML, SCIM, OIDC).
* Familiarity with APIs and integrating with API endpoints; troubleshooting capabilities.
* Understanding of security concepts and tools (firewalls, VPNs, SSL/TLS, DLP, WAFs, proxies).
