Job Description:
BREDS professionals will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of real estate loan originations and be staffed on several assignments at once. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, team members typically assume integral roles on projects and deal teams. Specific responsibilities include:
* Underwriting of commercial real estate backed debt investments
* Execution of a wide range of transactions across real estate asset classes, including new originations and modifications of existing investments
* Management and servicing of a portfolio of existing commercial real estate debt investments
* Management of borrower relationships
* Conducting asset tours, market research, competitive and financial analysis
* Development of presentations and reporting for internal and external use
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
The successful candidate must have:
* Undergraduate degree, with strong academic achievement
* 1-2 years of relevant experience ideally in real estate asset investments, private equity, lending, investment banking or brokerage
* Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented
* Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a time
* A self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Genuine interest in the real estate industry
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong work ethic to persevere; genuine passion for excellence; results-oriented
* Personal and professional integrity
* Advanced user in Excel and PowerPoint
