Overview
Test Analyst role based in Homebush West, reporting to the Test Manager within Harvey Norman's IT Department. You will validate planned system upgrades to ensure their effectiveness prior to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in test planning, create test cases and perform testing.
- Report on progress of testing.
- Assist in test environment setup and maintenance.
- Contribute to the development of a comprehensive knowledge base to support training and cross-skilling initiatives.
- Analyse and address production defects and issues.
- Provide end user support as required.
About you
Previous experience within a Harvey Norman, Domayne, or Joyce Mayne franchise is vital for this role. This background supports a solid understanding of the POS/VO system, and strong process knowledge in areas such as cash and invoice sales, receipting, stocktaking, and purchase ordering.
You should have a keen interest in IT and be comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment. Experience or familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing certifications (ISTQB Foundation or similar) will be preferred.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience with POS/VO systems in a retail franchise environment is preferred.
- Understanding of cash handling, invoicing, stocktaking, and purchase ordering processes.
- Interest in IT, ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- SDLC familiarity and ISTQB Foundation or similar testing certifications preferred.
