Cook
Responsibilities
* To prepare and serve a range of Asian menu dishes at a consistently high standard.
* To support business growth by contributing in all the required departments of kitchen operations.
Tasks
* Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
* Discussing food preparation issues and solutions with the head chef.
* Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures – specifically ensuring Asian cuisine cooking techniques are followed to retain authenticity of the cuisine.
* Cooking menu items adapting them to the dietary needs of the customers.
* Ensure quality and consistency by ensuring the kitchen team follows standard recipes and presentation.
* Checking the quality of raw materials.
* Checking the cleanliness and operation of equipment before production.
* Receive and store kitchen stock as per company standards and food safety requirements.
* Explaining and enforcing food safety & hygiene regulations as per the current regulations.
Qualifications
* Cert III and / or Cert IV in Cookery.
* Experience: 3 years in the same role.
