Job Title: Strategic Project Lead, Energy and Infrastructure Initiatives

Location: Collingwood, VIC (Hybrid Work Model)

Employment Type: Full-time, 12 month Fixed-term

Salary: $115,000 per annum (plus super)

About VACCHO

VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria.

We have 34 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 78,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. We lead and support Aboriginal Community Control and the broader health and social services sector to deliver transformative health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in Victoria. About the role

The Strategic Project Lead, Energy and Infrastructure Initiatives within the Foundations and Innovations Unit will use project management, stakeholder relations and subject matter expertise to support Victorian ACCOs to source and install energy efficiency, solar and battery solutions, with an aim to derive the best possible outcome for all stakeholders.

The role requires significant co-ordination and liaison with individual ACCOs, VACCHO, the Victorian State Government, suppliers, vendors and trades personnel with key fieldwork to take place for 12 months, with the possibility to extend, pending funding arrangements. Culturally safe ways of working are essential to this role. This position will be suited to someone who enjoys sharing their expertise with others in an accessible fashion.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage project tasks by ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget
- Manage and/or support the procurement, evaluation, selection and installation of energy related plant and equipment foundational to improving the energy performance and resilience of ACCO buildings
- Provide secretariat support to the Project Control Group through the timely preparation of papers and minutes
- Maintain accurate financial records across the program
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with a varied range of stakeholders including those from the Aboriginal Community, ACCO staff, VACCHO, Victorian State Government, vendors, suppliers and trades personnel
- Use technical expertise to make well-founded recommendations to find the most suitable solution(s) with the aim to benefit the ACCO, and reduce our carbon footprint by improving energy efficiency, improve energy resilience and find the best value for money. The Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority Health (VIDA Health) will provide technical assistance throughout the project to support this role.
- This project will require extensive travel across regional Victoria for the duration of the works, including some overnight stays
