Head of Special Education Services – Bracken Ridge State School
As a key member of the school's leadership team, the Head of Special Education Services will drive excellence in inclusive education, support staff in delivering high‐quality teaching and learning, and foster a positive, inclusive school culture.
Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate the delivery of high‐quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
* Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
* Provide high‐quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
* Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of inclusive education and behavioural engagement support.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build authentic partnership with families and external agencies.
* Experience supporting and advising classroom teachers for students with disability.
* Mandatory qualifications/registration as outlined in the attached role description.
