Heavy Haulage Operator Role Overview
This is a key position within our team, requiring a highly skilled and safety-focused individual to operate heavy haulage equipment and manage the transportation of machinery and equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating 50T and 100T floats and associated haulage equipment, performing both local and long-distance runs, loading, restraining, and transporting various types of machinery and equipment safely.
In addition to these core responsibilities, the Heavy Haulage Operator will also be required to complete electronic and physical pre-starts, safety checks, and paperwork, as well as troubleshoot and perform general maintenance on equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate heavy haulage equipment: Ensure safe operation of 50T and 100T floats and associated haulage equipment.
* Transport machinery and equipment: Load, restrain, and transport various types of machinery and equipment safely.
* Maintenance and repairs: Troubleshoot and perform general maintenance on equipment as needed.
* Administrative tasks: Complete electronic and physical pre-starts, safety checks, and paperwork.
Requirements:
* MC Driver's Licence: Must hold a valid MC driver's licence.
* Australian work eligibility: Unconditional right to work in Australia.
* Fitness to Drive Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and National Police Check: Willingness to undergo necessary medical and police screening.
* Transport knowledge and experience: Proven experience in Heavy Haulage/Specialised Transport preferred but not required for the right candidate.
