Solicitor I‑III Civil Law – Port Macquarie (PMQ)
Legal Officer Grade I‑III Salary: $79,322 to $134,458 per annum (plus superannuation & annual leave loading). Full time ongoing opportunity.
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Solicitor I‑III to deliver essential civil law services to a diverse clientele in Port Macquarie. You will provide high‑quality advice, minor assistance and casework across a range of civil law areas, advocating for clients and navigating complex legal issues to achieve justice.
Responsibilities
* Provide legal advice, assistance, and casework in civil law matters
* Advocate for clients experiencing hardship and disadvantage
* Navigate complex legal issues and help clients understand their rights
* Build respectful relationships with clients, colleagues and community stakeholders
* Work independently and collaboratively within a team
Qualifications
* Admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW
* Current NSW Practising Certificate
* Willing to undertake a Criminal Record Check
* Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia
* Current, unrestricted NSW Driver Licence
* Strong communication skills and a trauma‑informed, client‑centred approach
* Motivated, adaptable and able to manage a demanding caseload in a fast‑paced environment
