Commercial Leadership Role
As a Commercial General Manager, you will spearhead the commercial function to drive capital efficiency, revenue and risk outcomes across a national row-crop portfolio. You will collaborate closely with Operations and farm managers to challenge assumptions, shape capital allocation, and deliver clear, actionable insights linking operational choices to financial performance and long-term value.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute disciplined capital allocation strategies aligned to the corporate plan.
* Oversee commodity marketing and risk management functions, drive pricing strategy with the use of internal and external advisors.
* Provide scenario analysis, benchmarked performance reporting and forward forecasts that link paddock decisions to financial and capital outcomes.
* Align farm plans to top-quartile benchmarks in efficiency, productivity, people engagement and carbon emissions.
* Lead a data-first architecture that protects intellectual property and enables credible, high-quality decision-making in the paddock.
* Champion metrics that measure operational excellence and return on invested capital.
* Ensure robust governance and reporting.
* Work across the executive leadership group and farm managers, and engage directly with asset directors and investor representatives, banks and insurers, key input suppliers, grain handlers and buyers, and professional advisers (audit, legal, valuation).
